[OOC] Revoluton Timeline

1982 - 2027 are taken from Revolution Wiki, drawn from official sources, with the exception of Connor and Emma. Given there are NO official sources of info on that timeline, I've done what I can to make it make sense. Emma says something about them sending troops into combat, which would make it seem more like 2001, post 9/11, EXCEPT--she and Bass are also talking about scholarships and going off to basic in a few WEEKS while she goes to school, none of which would make sense post-September (they wouldn't know about scholarships yet, if that was their senior year PLUS they'd be 20 years old, headed to college at 21, and while a lot of them do that, not many 21 year olds end up with full academic scholarships). Add in her parents not ~allowing~ Emma to tell the boys, and that makes it seem she definitely was younger, not a 21 year old out on her own, going back to school after a few years out. So, I've made a command decision it was the Kosovo War troops were being sent into that she's talking about. It was small on the scale of wars 1990-2005, for U.S. involvement, but spring of 99 there was a ton of bombing going on that would worry an 18-year-old sending her boyfriend(s) off into it. If anyone has a better explanation, I'm all ears.*
*Note: For RP purposes, I often shift it a bit later, having Miles and Bass born in 1983/84 instead of 81/82, which would put them graduating from high school in 2002, and thus Emma's worry about them sending troops in to combat would be gearing up for stuff post-9/11, which makes WAY more sense in the grand scheme of that episode/their lives.
2027/2028 are logical extrapolation, but not hard and fast or from any official source, and totally up for debate. It's what works for me, though. I derived that timeline by tracing the route they traveled, getting the distances, dividing by an average of 20 miles/day which is the average for both walkers across the continent & what the wagon trains averaged, as well. I allowed for 30 miles a day on trips where we know they were on horseback (with no wagon to pull), and then padded it with time for them to actually do the stuff they did, since it's not like they were just walking and sleeping and nothing else. :-)
The October 2028 date is pretty firm, as evidenced by the kids trick-or-treating in Willoughby when Miles and Rachel are wtf-ing at the Patriot's arrival.
Given the complete lack of seasonal change while they've been running all around the continent, it's kind of hard to completely justify any of this, but they had to have gone through winter at some point, and with how I worked it out, that was when they were most at war, which happened off screen.
